How scheduling works in MazalPOS
MazalPOS is a retail POS with employee scheduling built in. You build the week once, and every employee sees their own shifts in the MazalTeam app on their phone. When someone needs a day off, they ask in the app, and the manager approves or declines from their own phone. The schedule sits in the same system as the register and the sales it is meant to cover.
Employees clock in and out from the app or from the register. Those clock-ins become the hours for the pay period, so the schedule, the hours worked and the pay all come from the same records. Nobody copies times from a paper sheet into a spreadsheet at the end of the month.
Commission is worked out on every sale with the goals and rates you set. When an employee reaches a goal, the rate they reached applies to their whole day, so there is nothing to split and nothing to check by hand. Each employee sees their own sales and commission in the app while they work.
Pay periods run from the 1st to the 15th and from the 16th to the end of the month. Hours and commission are totaled for each period, so the payroll numbers are ready when the period closes.

The MazalTeam staff app, with schedules, time-off requests and clock-in, is part of every plan. Essentials is $99 per location per month. Payroll and commissions are part of Growth, which is $169 per location per month and also adds the online store on the same inventory, more than one location under one login, and Affirm and Purchasing Power financing. On many POS systems these team tools are sold separately. On Square, for example, shift scheduling, timecards and commissions tracking are part of the paid Square Plus and Premium plans, not Square Free, and full-service payroll is a separate product, according to Square’s pricing page.
